Product Description
H and V pipe section insulation to suit 67mm diameter pipe, and supplied in 1000mm section. these sections are mainly used for thermal and acoustic insulation of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning pipework operating in the temperature range of 0oC to 700oC.
These are provided with a factory applied foil facing which meets the requirements of Class 0 with joints sealed using a suitable foil tape. This insulation bonds effectively at low site temperatures which reduces delay during winter installation. The adhesive on the lap has been specifically formulated to provide an aggressive bond with log life and high shear properties giving it high performance. The sections are used to insulate against frost damage, and can considerably improve the level of environmental sound from pipes where gases, fluids or particle solids are transported at high velocities.
Advantages include:
Being a resilient high performance barrier, with a Class 0 finish that is fast and simple to install, the material allows the installation to be carried out even in winter conditions, it reduces the tape requirement needed and it reduces time and costs on the site. It is non-combustible and water repellent, however when used in the open should be protected with a waterproof covering.
Standards:
H&V Pipe Sections conform to BS 3958-4 'Bonded performed mineral wool pipe sections' and is also used to satisfy BS5422 'Method for specifying thermal insulating materials'.
