Phenolic Foam Insulation

Fire performance of phenolic foam is exceptional, combining zero or very low flame spread with negligible smoke emission as well as a very low level of toxic gas emission. Phenolic foam can, in an appropriate form, achieve all the following European fire certifications. • UK Class O •Dutch NEN 6065/6066 Class 1 •German B1 •Belgian A1 •French M1 •Scandinavian NT 036 Class 1.

Phenolic foam is very versitile and is suited to many different applications, the criteria it meets include thermal performance, water resistance, fire protection and in some cases structural strength.

Benefits of using Phenolic foam is they have exceptionally low smoke when exposed to fire and is capable of meeting or exceeding all international building regulation requirements. It is highly resistant to water vapour and has low water absorption. Phenolic Foams have excellent strength and is lightweight. It has low thermal conductivity.

It can be up to 50% more thermal efficient than other insulation materials and it has reduced insulation thickness, due to higher thermal efficiency which saves valuable space.
