PHENGROUP44 Phenolic Foam retains all the benefits of rigid polyurethane and rigid polyisocyanurate insulation, it is resistant to burning and the spread of flame through its high compressive strength, and it has a low thermal conductivity. Phenolic insulation is entirely CFC/HCFC-free with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).


Phenolic foam offers insulation efficiency, fire resistance, low smoke emissions, compressive strength, environment, health, safety and cost. It has created a reputation for quality and consistency. Phenolic foam is resistant to fungus and mould growth, will not sustain vermin and is non-fibrous, odourless and non-tainting. It is lightweight, easy to handle and install.


Please choose the insulation size you require for this diameter pipe. This insulation is to suit copper piping. Sections are 1 metre in length. Sections above 114mm pipe diameter are foiled in two halves.

Product Description

Phenolic foam is a uniquely versatile material being suitable for a large range of applications. Phenolic foam has been used in heating, ventilating and air conditioning applications for many years. The foam is cut to accurate tolerances on computer controlled cutting equipment.


 


Temperature Range


Phenolic foam may be used for pipework and equipment operating within the temperature range –180°C to +120°C / –292°F to +248ºF.


 


Thermal Performance


Phenolic Foam has a low thermal conductivity which allows thermal performance standards to be reached through using minimal thickness of insulation. This is good for space saving, and can be used in confined spaces. Additionally it can result in a lower surface area and savings on finishing materials.


 


Structure


It has a high closed cell content and fine cell structure.


 


Moisture Resistance


This insulation has a 95% closed cell content that makes it non-wicking and highly resistant to moisture penetration which is useful in humid conditions where a build up of moisture could compromise the performance of lesser insulation materials. This insulation works well for cold, chilled and low temperature hot work pipework.


 


Chemical Resistance


This insulation is resistant to a large variety of oils, solvents and chemicals; it is compatible with most solvent based coatings and adhesives, polyester and epoxy resin based coatings. This allows them to sustain physical integrity protection from these substances.


 


Fire Performance


This insulation has good resistance to burning and spread of flame, additionally there is almost complete absence of smoke when this material is subjected to a flame source, buying valuable time for evacuation.
